Later breaking new ground with the surfboard travel bag, O’Neill is also responsible for the only thing that keeps you and your board “inseparable,” the leash. Lucky for us, necessity was the mother of invention for the O’Neill family, as they went on to develop many things us surfers take for granted today.

Element
Element is one of the largest skateboard companies in the world. Element’s logo invented by its founder Johnny Schillereff, is described as the life of a tree growing through cement and being “one” with the board. Sometimes Element’s logo is surrounded by the words: wind, water, fire, and earth, notably the four basic elements. As Element continues to evolve in the movement of skateboarding, their clothing and equipment encourages the wave of “elementality.”
